I am now with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in Austin, Texas

Some pictures of Austin are here:

History (last three years)

I was at Southwestern University (SU), in Georgetown, Texas for the academic year (2005-2006). I was there for "Rita" and not been able to settle since.
SU makes the place I was before (which should not be named) look like a drab. (Technically it should be "drably", but "drab" is more fun! )

Then I went to Hanover College for another academic year (2006-2007), and returned to teach at the Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.

Then "returned" to Texas in May of 2007. I have now lived in Texas for two of the last three years (66%) and looks like I will be in Texas for a good bit still.

16 States in one year

Before arriving to Hanover in August 22nd, 2006, I had been in 12 states in the previous 6 months (since presenting a paper at the ACM SE 2006 meeting in Melbourne, Fla.) On that trip (started in TX) we visited LA, MS, AL, FL. On a trip to Furman (Greenville, SC) for a job interview I visited SC, NC, TN, AR. For the job interview in Hanover, IN, I was in IN and GA. On my way to Indiana, I was in TX, LA, MS, TN, KY, and finally, IN. Twelve states!
I went on a trip to Buffalo, NY which added OH, PA, NY. And another trip to Jacksonville, which added IL!

We have returned to the South

   Student: You are cruel!
   Teacher: It's pronounced "Quay-yar"
